I'm putting the 8 into storage for the next 12+ months. After removing the batteries does anyone know of a way to lock the boot?

After removing the batteries does anyone know of a way to lock the boot? I'd take jumpercables, connect one battery via the terminals in the engine bay and then just lock the car. I always have the opposite problem - how do i unlock the boot after the batteries are dead :D And I do it exactly as described above. Cheers Wolf P.S. Everyone else is bringing her/his E31 back on the road and you put it in storage? wedge31 05-10-2009, 12:14 PM Thanks wolf, great idea. I'm going overseas so I want my baby safely wrapped up! olinjohnston1 05-10-2009, 01:14 PM What about just using the key? Won't it lock manually? 8eights 05-10-2009, 01:30 PM exactly, You can open with a key, Why not unplug a important fuse or relay in the trunk and then put a battery tender on the batteries it to keep them in healthy shape for your return. |
