Throttle body is the metal piece that has a bunch fo cables coming off of it, have a friend rev your motor and watch for some action on the intake assemblies...

It is the assembly directly attatched to the intake manifold... ya know, that big black, 6-barreled (we're talking a 6cyl here, right?) thing that branches off from one point... your throttle body!

i drive a 95 318is

i found it
but ehh.. u guys know how there's top part of the throttle body... where it lets in air

and then there's the bottom part, where it looks like a plug or something....
what does the bottom part do?

Well I believe the 318 engine is equipped with variable length intake runners so maybe thats it??:dunno
Ive never really seen a 318 up close so I dunno
