The passenger seat on my 94 325is won't move forward. When I say move forward meaning to lift up on the sides to let someone into the back seat. The mechanical portion of the seat not the electrical part, which I also have. This was working fine never man handled the side levers or anything. The seat lever didn't even show any signs that it was about to stop working. When I pull up n the lever it does seem loose like somethings broke or disconnected. Is this part of the seat controlled by cables or something to lift up and pull the seat forward? Could the cable just snap or could it be that it just got misaligned or disconnected. Anyone know what to look for or how to fix the problem? Thanks:help :dunno

I had this happen on my passenger's seat, and yes there is a cable and yes in my case it broke. I needed to remove the seat and disassemble it to get at the cable. If you do a Search on here there should be several threads about this kind of problem.
