My friend Andy had been talking about it for some time from when we both worked for the a-hole at German Tech Auto. Opening a small auto shop, focused on European automotive, but finally doing it the right way. Giving you the problems straight up, no cutting corners, and no one yelling over our shoulders.

Well its now open: Foreign Car Care. We're a small shop in Simi Valley, CA offering professional service in everything from general maintenance and repairs, to engine swaps, body work, and performance upgrades. Right now we'll work on anything, but eventually we would love to specialize in Mercedes and BMW, especially older 3 series (we both own E36 M3's). One thing that sets us apart is that we are both enthusiests before mechanics, and are open to helping DIY'ers with completing their projects or ordering parts they may need.

I would like to welcome anyone in the eastern Ventura County or SFV that is looking for a new shop that wont screw them around to please come check us out. Were in Simi Valley, right on the corner of First St. and Los Angeles Ave. at the Mobil station. Feel free to post up any questions about the services we provide.

congrats on the new partnership!! If I was closer to you guys, I would definitely stop by. Maybe when I come back home after school is out, I can stop by. I've always got some work on the e36 that needs to be done :]

Question, do you guys even have clients that need details in your shop? I'm always looking for a cool, friendly shop to partner with and offer my detailing services to you guys. I'm in the OC area, but wouldn't mind trekking to LA for a full day, and being in a professional environment with a bunch of e36 nuts is a BIG plus :]

Best!
Jake

Thanks for the kind words, your welcome to drop in any time! Actually we are offering detailing services, usually we only do 1 or 2 a week. We do have 'a guy' that does detailing work for us. He's good, he did my M3 two days ago for Bimmerfest. Though he works full time at another shop down the street, so can only come over after work or on the weekends to do cars. If youre interested, we could probably work something out once we get regular detailing jobs coming in. Maybe a two day a week sort of thing where we could bang out a few cars at once. Addmitedly that would be down the road, but it does interest me.

btw, love the sig. I was looking for that pic everywhere.

Definitely! Let me know when you do start to think about the detailing setup for the shop. I'll PM you my #. In the meantime, if a customer comes in that needs a detail and the "other guy" can't work him in his schedule, feel free to give me a call! I'm a full time student now at UCSD, but come mid June, I move home (OC) so I will be much closer and have much mroe time on my hands for detailing.

Best of luck to ya!

whats your hourly rate?

The hourly rate were running with is $95/hour. Though honestly we are rarely going by that, right now were more interested in getting a customer base, so youll find our charges for labor are much lower then even cut-rate quick lube shops, even though we have a certified BMW master mechanic working on the cars.

For sure, no drinking on the job, unless i see your car come in for brakes. :devillook
