My brother is looking to get his '94 325i checked over by a reputable BMW shop in the Los Angeles area. The car needs a lot of overdue maintenance done (A/C compressor, brakes, etc.). Spending money on the work isn't really an issue, he would just prefer a shop that is going to be straight with him about the issues and do quality work. He is located in North LA by Hollywood if that matters.

Those two are far from Hollywood. Closer (but not super close) is Swiss Motors in Culver City. I've had them work on several cars now, and I think they do a very thorough and honest job.

They do honest work and their pricing is pretty good as well.
