the euro auto festival is going to go down in greer south carolina.
there are 800 plus cars supposed to be there.
and most of them ought to be 8 series.
the event will take place on October 16, 17, and 18, with Show Day being Saturday,
i hope we will have plenty of 8 series there, to celebrate our 20 year anniversary.

That is a 507 (what the Z8 was based on)
3.2 liter V8, 4-speed. built between 1956-1959.
Sold for $9,000 in 1956

It was a financial flop (sounds like the 8 series story), almost launching BMW into bankruptcy

Thanks, I looked up that 507, WOW what a beautiful automobile. The Z8 vaguely is reminiscent of it, they "BMW" failed to capture those beautiful curves that made the car. It's like comparing an anorexic women to a voluptuous woman. Too bad nobody in the auto industry gets it anymore. :smoke1

Sounds like a good time. Was there for the 30 year anniversary of the 6 series. Now I need to go with the 8 series. Can't seem to find the price for registration or the hotel. What gives?

i think we are still a bit early on the registration.
but they are supposed to come up with the forms and prices soon
