I see the ones for 80 bucks but I assume I will have to paint it!? Or is it better to get the ones that are painted for 140 bucks from taiwan?

You'll have a better chance of it matching your paint then spending the extra $$$ and having to get it done again....Just my 0.08...

Like others said, get an unpainted one. Easier to colour match.

Mark is correct. Trust these guys. Why spend money on the paint for a coumpany in a foreign country that may not have BMW quality paint, or may not have the correctly matched color of your car only to have it brought to your house and you decide to repaint it? You save money by hiring a local (high quality) paint shop. Not only can you get a refund if the job is done unprofessionally, but you will be giving a hard working American a job.

Well, "BMW Quality," is a bit of a stretch considering lead based paints are now illegal. However, red is not red and white is not white when it comes to cars. Every car, even if they're the same color, is slightly different and need to be mixed to match as such. When thinking of something that's $80 versus $120, the thought shouldn't be about saving money. Besides it's not going to cost much to get the piece painted, and you can get it to look just as if it came with the car. I do fancy your statement about giving *US the job of painting it.
