I've got an 04 zhp with the rattling vanos unit that is driving me nuts. I'm looking for an independent mechanic or a DIY guy with experience with replacing the unit - I plan on getting it from dr. vanos.

I called a very well-known BMW repair shop in Northern NJ and was told "we don't do those type of repairs". I was more than a little surprised to hear that. I've got an independent but I'm pretty sure he never did this, I would prefer someone with experience with this repair.

Anyone know someone who can help me out with this?
