I hang out with a lot of Vdub heads and they have shows at raceway twice a year at least now why cant us BMW kings set up a show and go race wars, this is a must; we must find some way to take our cars out and show them a good time:) besides the fact the we have the best:stickoutt

I will be setting up a meet in my backyard as soon as I find out if I can legally:rolleyes but when I do i will be posting a thread and time to get it organized.
What does everyone else think?
Shouldn't we be meeting more often with all these beautiful Jersey cars I see!!!!

Yes i would guarantee that, theirs a lot of Bruno's though Im talking about a real meet where all of us from around actually come out to. and maybe were whiny because were actually more serious about our cars rather than social go read any vdub forum and try to compare it to the sophistication that our forums bring neways im not talking about that im talking about getting a bimmerfest at raceway or something more official. Its the chilis by target, home depot etc.?

On the contrary my fellow Bimmer homos, bmfeast was a pretty big event in jersey, and hopfully this Roosevelt park meet will have a good turnout. But as far as im concerned the real BIG events are PA or Cali.

AMEN z3s AMEN!! and big as in people selling used parts, sponsors, more e30s:) bimmerfest was big i went a saw a lot of beauties and my cars aren't completely show cars yet but im working on it and maybe a show like that would help more because you can bargain in person i should start going to the smaller weekly meets but i dont have much time as i could imagine a lot of other people feel the same way that if they could look forward to those big meets where they can get a whole list of parts on their mind look at sexy cars and perhaps watch some machines run! thats why i think the only way to get something like that going is to have our bimmerfest at raceway and or somethinggg at least or any other strips or just basically a place for big activities Im thinkin we should really get together and do this f vdub havin 5 raceway days a year im tiered of seein it and hearing it lol no offense guys u know whos on top:o

why do these meets need to be at raceway (unless we're going karting)? what about coming to a BMWCCA track day at NJ Motorsports Park? drag racing BMWs doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.. but give me a road course anytime :)

yeah i wouldnt drive on the "road course" at englishtown except maybe in a kart. the NJ and DelVal BMWCCA chapters put on several track events at tracks in the tri-state area.

- May 15 NJ Chapter at Lime Rock Park
- June 8/9 NJ Chapter at NJ Motorsports Park
- Aug 21-23 NJ/DelVal Chapter joint event at NJ Motorsports Park
- Oct 10-11 DelVal Chapter at Pocono Raceway
- Oct 26 NJ Chapter Intro to the Track event at NJ Motorsport Park

what input are you looking for? organize something and see if people will come. i'm not much for hanging around gawking at cars though, i'd rather drive em.

Difference is, is that VW's are about $10k cheaper than any BMW. VW sells way more cars. VW's demographic is a much younger crowd. Most BMW drivers could give a flying f about meets. I will try to get my Lamberton Park meet back together sometime soon. It's just hard with having a little one now.

Glad to hear there is another one in the works! Last year was fantastic. I'll try to help if you need anything. I am good at posting on different boards. Anyway, let me know!

I would seriously not mind seeing you guys hold this event twice a year. It was one of the best events that I have ever attended next to the old school Bimmerfest East events from a few years ago.
