View Full Version : Anyone going to the Auto-X at NCC tomorrow 4/4/09?
Le Nitro 04-03-2009, 08:10 PM I didn't register, but I plan on doing my 1st auto-x this spring/summer. I plan on going down there to view how it runs. I read you are required a certain spec helm to do it, but I don't have the funds to buy a helmet, do they rent out helms at these events?
Edit: I thought today was Saturday...I meant for Sunday 4/5/09

Le Nitro 04-05-2009, 04:36 PM I went out there to just watch it, looked pretty cool. Talked to a few people who educated me a little bit how auto-x works. I'm def going to show up to the next event and give it a go.
purduinaM3 04-06-2009, 06:47 AM I go to almost all of these events.. they're a great time. Only reason I wasn't there today was because my car is still in the body shop. I plan at being at all the rest though! :D
Le Nitro 04-07-2009, 08:36 AM Cool, maybe i'll see you there at the next event. They told me they do run non BMW CCA auto-x events there so i may try and do one of those before May 23rd.

How much does it cost to rent a helmet at one of the events? If you do know...? And um, how do I know what size helmet I should buy?
I looked on eBay, when I type in Snell only motorcycle helmets come up.

Hey man, i'd love to get into racing, but I think i need coils, the only suspension work I have now is sway bars and springs. I would also like to get some 17x8 or 17x8.5 rims.
Butttt i'm still unemployed and can't do anything. I just paid my insurance on my car for the next 6mo and I really really need to get a cash paying job asap.
For now Auto-x is my only budget when it comes to any sort of *racing*

where can you go on a track for 40 bucks? I thought track days cost somewhere between 2-300 bucks
