They did an amazing job absolutely beautiful my car was involved with some front end damage/. hood, fender, bumper, lights, unibody, frame, radiator and much more. my car looks brand spanking new. They did and amazing job on my car. BMW also recommends this place. Kevin E21 04-04-2009, 09:01 PM Yeah BMW of Peabody contracts all their body work to All Wheels. I have heard good things about them, but no personal experience. Also check out Sansossio Autobody in Natick. KUSA325is 04-04-2009, 09:09 PM i dont get what would make a person do something like that to a random car, i always get mad when i hear about people getting "keyed" themadrussian 04-04-2009, 09:22 PM Also check out Sansossio Autobody in Natick. Great experience with them. I recommend them. Kevin E21 04-04-2009, 09:24 PM Great experience with them. I recommend them. Yeah, Phil is the man. mikeqube 04-04-2009, 09:51 PM Thanks for the recommendations. I'm going to start calling places next week. I don't see the insurance appraiser until Friday so I have some time. The more I looked at my car, the more marks I found on it. I got a couple of foot long marks on the passenger side and then a couple on the drivers side. They also somehow scratched the chrome trim going around the window, I think I might try to sand it down and paint it black. The cop that took my report said that kids from the projects have been coming into my area and damaging cars. He said he was on his way to a call for a brick through someone's rear windows right down the road. kamaqazi 04-04-2009, 09:56 PM Thanks for the recommendations. I want to have one in hand before I go see the insurance adjuster for when they try to low-ball what they give me. bmwsmurf 04-06-2009, 11:27 AM I'm going to guess it's going to cost 900-1000 to redo the hood. Let me know if I'm right :) mikeqube 04-06-2009, 11:33 AM I'm going to guess it's going to cost 900-1000 to redo the hood. Let me know if I'm right :) I'm thinking everything is going to be over 2k. They're going to have to do the hood, passenger door, passenger rear quarter panel and driver rear quarter panel. bmwsmurf 04-06-2009, 01:36 PM You should just let the adjustor do the adjustment while the car is at Sansossio or Dick's Auto Body. Otherwise they will never come close to what the body shops tell you the cost will be. Insurance companies don't like giving anywhere close to what you should be getting. If you intend to get the car fixed you should go this route and save yourself the extra/work headache. the body shop will fight with the insurance company. You just tell them to make sure you don't have to pay anything (other than your deductible) If you have a very high deductible, or have other damage / bad body work that was previous to this incident, I would not go to Dick's as they are so expensive and the insurance company will not cover that addl cost. mikeqube 04-06-2009, 03:13 PM You should just let the adjustor do the adjustment while the car is at Sansossio or Dick's Auto Body. I'm just going to Dicks for the estimate because they're close to my house. I talked to Sansossio earlier and he said that once I get the estimate from the adjuster that he'll fight to get what it takes to get it paid. He's coming highly recommended from a few people that I talked to .My deductible is only $500, so it's not too bad. The only other damage on the car is on the rear driver side panel. There's a small ding on the edge of the wheel well, I'd like to get that fixed at the same time as everything else. it's small but annoying. mikeqube 04-11-2009, 11:29 PM I took it to Dicks for the estimate and I almost shit myself. Labor is almost $4000 and paint/parts/supplies are almost $1000 and they say it's going to take over 3 weeks to complete. When I took it to the claims center, they gave me a number of $1685. Gonna go talk to Sanssosio's this week. themadrussian 04-12-2009, 12:27 AM I took it to Dicks for the estimate and I almost shit myself. Sansossio repaired three broken pieces on my OEM rear wing (spoiler), and repainted the whole thing, along with repainting the top of my trunk lid (it was damaged by the GT replica wing), all for less than $900, and it took them one week. raydoc 04-12-2009, 12:36 AM Talk to phil! Verrry interesting. I type in capital letters, the board no-likey. bmwsmurf 04-12-2009, 03:01 AM Dick's does everything by the book and the insurance adjustors mostly know this so they do get more money than your typical bodyshop can. The question is.. why does it matter what the estimate comes out to if they're going to fight with the insurance company, not you? mikeqube 04-12-2009, 03:24 AM $5000 for a hood repair? It matters because it's going to take over 3 weeks to do the job and I went over everything on the four page estimate and it seems they're doing stuff that isn't needed, like re-tinting my windows and refinishing my washer nozzles. |
