I'm new to the pro-motorsports forum as of today, I've been in Z3, 5er, and Great Plains for a while (including a stint as SuperMod before we got rid of the position).

I don't know who the old moderator was, but Kaiservon and I are now at your service.

Then you'll want to check in regularly on F1 and Speed Challenge race days. :D

thanks for the warm welcome... I need to get cable so I can actually keep up with the conversation, I just can't justify the $100 a month... my brother's house usually has better beer anyway!

by vintage racing do you mean like datsun 240z's, or like mercedes 300sl's? or like oil barrels with wheels and ancient lawnmower engines?

Dark Helmet

nah... DSL, but all the races you guys are talking about are on Speedvision... and I refuse to pay over $1000 a year just to watch racing... sorry guys.

dude, where are you getting the 100/month... is cable really that expensive in NE?? or just get sat, basic Directv service is like 40 bucks a month and it includes speedvision....

TimeWarner has a monopoly in Lincoln, and they act like it. you have to get the premium service to get Speed, and its $$$$$$$.

Satelite isn't too bad, but i just can't bring myself to spend the money at all at this point...

I mean... www.vscda.com

production and production-based cars as well as purpose-built sportsracers from the 50s, 60s, and early 70s... (vscda does more than just that, but my interest lies in the above)

I was going to buy a basket-case single-seat Lola last month, but the deal just wasn't happening... so I'm back to square one... somthing along the lines of a nicely sorted (Group 8, historic procuction GTU) Alfa GTV or Triumph GT6... or a 1600/2002 could be in the works... I don't think I want to mess with an old 911, too many potential issues and I'd have no idea how to drive the bloody thing... and I refuse to consider a 914/6, Lotus, or other veritable money-pit.

my brother/dad are building a Group-6 (historic production GTO) '68 mustang out of my brothers current street car (all current street-car goodies will be in the '67 fastback he is acquiring)... that is a little more HP than I'd like to be sitting behind in a racign format...
