I've got a '00 528iAT and just installed the OE M5 front & rear aero kit (from MMS-Tuning). I ordered the single exhaust outlet for the rear, and now the stock exhaust tip is off center about 2".
Apparantly, most muffler shops can't "heat & bend" the muffler to fit correctly since the hanger is "unreachable."
My problem is this, ACS sells a tip (that is recommended to fill the gap) for $350, I can get a Eisen(something) muffler for $750 delivered which will make it sound much better than stock. I'd like to go the muffler route but at this time, I'm short on cash. My options are as follows:
1) Drive it as is (looks fugly!!)
2) Save the money for a 'trick' setup.
3) open to a quick fix until I save up the cash (preffered)
Does anybody have any suggestions (I live in Pleasanton, CA)
