hey
i have an inspection I appointment set at the dealership tomorrow. how many hours should i expect this to take? and how much $ should i expect to vanish from my wallet?

also, i have heard that most BMW dealerships will carry you to work, etc and pick you up later while you wait for your car to be done- is this true?

you should expect Inspection 1 to take the entire day if you drop your car off at the dealership in the morning. i left my car there at 9am and picked up that same day at 5:45pm with all necessary work done. your mileage may vary if you have some kind of catastrophic problem with your car that is discovered at the time of the inspection.

Inspection 1 set me back ~$500. i think this is around how much it should be. the dealership didn't have any loaner cars on hand and offered a free rental car, but i couldn't take it due to my age. so they dropped me off on campus and offered to come and pick me up from my home in the evening to pick up my car. wonderful service (this is Cunningham BMW in El Cajon btw for anyone from SoCal).

thanks man... thats exactly the info i was looking for.

i figured it would prob run me around 500. i would rather keep the cash in my wallet but gotta take care of the ride, ya know? yeah, i knew i would be ineligible for the loaner/rental too, but it's good to know that they will take care of dropping me off and picking me back up later- means we pay all this cash for something. :)
