So i was randomly looking at the channel line up online(Which was nearly impossible to find) and I notice about 50+ channels in HD that we dont seem to be getting. All of which we get in SD. So its not like they are exotic channels we normally dont get.

Are they ripping me off? Will calling up and bitching do anything?

channels vary by the market area... like in NE we will get diffrent channels then in Cali.... not the big channels just those channels are local over there and there isnt a market over here for it yet... u can try and call and bitch but they will probally give u the same answer i did... anything else i am the local Comcast resident... ohh and btw for bitch call 1800comcast

hd channels are available to those that get the digital package. in CT they are channels 150-180ish. do you pay for the digital package? if so then yes your getting ripped off, if you don't then your probably still getting ripped off

I abhor comcast. Our old DVR broke so we exchanged it, the brand new unit they gave us is even worse than the old one. Freezes up all the time, and won't even let us access the DVR or pause/ff/rew live TV.

suuuure, and credit card companies can never rescind that late charge or lower your interest rate. By 'local comcast resident' do you mean that you're a CS rep for comcast, or just a big fan?

hmmm, look into this a little more and i'll call to ream them...i'm good at that kind of thing...start off polite and then escalate through the ranks as necessary. It's amazing what you can get companies to do when prepared with the right information ;)

Also, we could look at the offerings of competing companies like RCN, etc and use that as leverage for Comcast to retain our business.

i am a account executive for comcast. i deal with people and there problems with the company on a daily basis. i try to get everyone the best deals i can... usualy there is something i can do about it sometime not

haha, Well when i had comcast, i had the HD package and i did not get any of the high 700's. Then i switched to a basic package and I received the high 700's such as ESPNEWS HD, but did not get ESPN or ESPN2 HD. So if your package says you should be getting both, call them up. it cant hurt.
