Hey everyone, this year the Tufts University car club will be having our third annual car show. It will be more or less the same format of last year but with a big addition we've been working for, a BURNOUT CONTEST!

Location:
Cousens Gym Parking Lot
161 College Avenue
Medford, MA 02155

Date/Time:
Sunday April 19th
We're working on finding a rain date that works...
Open at 12:00 PM
Car entry closes at 2 PM or when parking lot fills
Trophies around 2:30-3:00 PM

Price:
- Free to Spectate
- $10 dollars to Participate
- $5 if in pre-registered groups of 5 or more(e-mail me to pre-register)
- $5 if Tufts University Student/Faculty/Alumni(must present ID card)

Trophies:
We will be holding a popular vote for a variety of categories, a few best burnout awards, as well as some Tufts Auto club awards. These have not been finalized yet but the list will be updated in a few days.

Events:
This year we have finally gotten approval for a burnout competition! Enter your tire-smoker for some fun and prizes. More to come on this soon...

Food:
We will have food vendors at this event so no one will go hungry.

in the past we've had an awesome bimmer showing, where more than a third of the cars showing up are bmw.

last year there was a row of 5 or 6 e46 m3s, all real pretty.

From what I understand there will be a wide swath of the parking lot set aside for that. Dont expect to do any drifting, as there won't be any corners, but You'll have plenty of room to make some smoke.

We tend to have an awesome BMW turnout, and I want to keep it that way. I gotta continue the trend of more BMWs than hondas! (Seriously a row of 4 E46 M3s vs a row of 3 S2000s with blue masking tape penises on the doors...obv which is made of win.)

the show in the past has been like 30% bimmers, thanks to forum members being awesome. there's also talk of a caravan from WPI to the tufts show

That's the idea with the caravan. You go to WPI in the early AM, and then all the bimmer people caravan to tufts after.

thus, you don't get bored driving errrrywhere in MA on one day.

I am interested in the caravan but who else is doing it? And how is it going to work? WPI's parking lot got filled last year. My guess is it will be the same story this year too. And because of that, some of us may get split up. I think we need to meet somewhere after the WPI show so we can get everyone together and coordinate everything before the cruise. Maybe we should start a thread for the caravan?
