My airbag light is on for a D/S seat belt switch. Can I still pass NH state inspection with the light on?

It depends on who does the inspection.

If you come to Portsmouth Garage sometime, I'm sure we could get you passed.

inspections suck now. I failed today for having my blinkers and reverse lights in the rear smoked...when i passed when i first bought the car with the tail lights solid black...he almost failed me for ride height to because i could barely get over the ramps into the bay.

^pretty sure "the light" is an LED that's soldered in there ... easier to just get the airbag fixed

^sure its an led but that doesnt make it hard to remove. i did it for my abs its really simple.
BTW im not sying this is the RIGHT way. they are not soldered in. they are like xmass tree lights

I have alot of customers that have their e36s fail state inspection due to the Airbag light being on. Stupid e36 seat belt latches.

my 750 passed inspection with it on. airbags arnt a needed thing in a car, more like a luxury.

I'm still registered in NH, and I passed fine with the airbag light on. Though since then I've "fixed" the issue with a very small piece of electrical tape in between the bulb and the gauges. I thought about taking the bulb out but was worried it would send an OBC code or something. You cannot tell without taking the gauge cluster apart.

:nono

when they turn your ignition to 1 they should notice that the airbag light wont come on like every other light on your dash

peter you have a good point, hopefully they arent as smart as you are! most common mechanics arent from my experience.

if you really wanted to get creative you could put some tape on the srs lights contacts and then solder a jumper wire from the CEL or somthing so it still comes on but then doesnt stay on. (if you get what im saying) but then again an inspection station could just plug into your obd2 port and tell...
