Are all dinan 8 twin turbo stage 3 with the same stats as that green dinan 8 down in florida? 620hp/660ft torque?

Either way that is a beautiful 8 I have always loved white 8 series!

Hi guys, I will go by on Sunday and take a look at it and report back. Its way overpriced but what do I know about Dinans?

I think depending maybe on the mileage, $28,000 is within a fair range. There was one on craigslist maybe a year ago that was asking $32,000. Of course, it was way low mileage, around 15,000 IIRC, and very cherry by looking at the pics. If my citi stocks weren't toilet paper right now, I would definately be considering this. Good luck.

How does the paperwork -work in Canada, are you going to be up for Capital gains on the vehicle since you took as payment in kind?

Here are some more details on the car:

The car has 51,000 miles on it where 50,000 of that was in Seattle WA and 1000 was in Toronto Ontario.

While the car was in Seattle I can get all maintenance records from BMW. They were the only ones who worked on the car other then Dinan. A few months
after the car was purchased it was shipped to Dinan in California to have a tone of work done by them: Turbo's, Tranny, Exhaust, Downpipes not really sure what else. I will get all records from Dinan so that we can see everything they did.

When the car arrived here I had all the fluids changed by BimmerSport.

This car has to be seen to be appreciated more. The Rims on the car are 19" HRE's that cost well over $10K, the tires are Pirelli I will take pictures of them to show thread.

HRE's are the very best wheels out there IMO. You gotta pay to play... so yes, they are super expensive. I have a set on my Vette and they look amazing. They will do all sorts of custom sizes, finishes, offsets, colors, etc.

Honestly, I'd say $28k for this car with the wheels is a pretty good deal as long as its in decent shape. I don't really care for the aftermarket body work, but thats just me.

Once you drive a TT, its almost painful to drive a stock 8. I have one of each right now.

I wasn't looking to trade but I was offered a boat for the car because I was looking to buy a boat. At that time I decided to keep the car.

Lots of research and help from fellow 8'ers made it possible. This will be 3 of 4 that I've bought sight unseen. The first one, as an uneducated buyer (ouch). The second I found locally, the third from another member of the group, and now the 4th thru the group. If you purchase a car owned by one of us, it's pretty much a given it is represented honestly. Let's face it, if you sell your 8, that buyer is going to be here or RF. If you screw them, it will bite you and be a public compromise of your character in a great group of people. This car needs some TLC, but checked out well in ref to history. Wish me luck! Someone buy my white one, trying to keep the black one.

I have obviously lost my common sense totally. Definitely need to shake one now. Yes, I'm still up to a SC kit on yours. Needless to say, I'm going to have to wait to do the Glacier. Go ahead and pull the trigger on the SC and let's see about installation.

Perfect, and I mean perfect! More perfect than you've ever seen all the way to all new window/door gaskets and all the other goodies. This was my first 8, I went nuts on it thinking it would be the one and only in my life. Then....I got this illness and the quest to find a couple specific cars. My Glacier and now the TT. I'm done! Airplanes next!

Congrats Greg - I've been gone for 5 days and what happens when I'm gone - you go and buy ANOTHER ONE! Does this one have that special Airplane Detector built in? Or will you have to drive with the sun roof open when you drive through FL next year - you'll have to disable that autoclose feature (yup - you know what I'm talking about!!!) Can't wait to see it! And besides - you can stay in the guest house!!!!

Sure does, but Greg will disable that factor to watch out for planes next time.
