Too bad I will be in Zurich in 3 weeks, too late
Auraraptor 03-03-2009, 10:25 PM I love AM's. With the economy as it is, 06 DB9s can now be had for 90k! That means older higher milage cars should be even cheaper!!!
smokum 03-03-2009, 10:29 PM There is a trucking company that moves alot of those car around and i see them from time to time.
Koizumi 03-03-2009, 10:33 PM Tons in L.A. :D I'd like to pick one up someday.

Best car other then say a Ferrari 550/575/456, to replace the 8! 456's are REALLY cheap now (for a car that stickered over 220k!)

smokum 03-03-2009, 11:13 PM ack! foul looking thing that could never take the style of the 8
Auraraptor 03-03-2009, 11:15 PM I adore the side vent design and hood vent design. Never cared for the rear (thought I understand why it was designed as so...it is a modern Daytona).

Koizumi 03-03-2009, 11:52 PM 456 :smoke2 I can see how the 456 is a nice 'next step' from the 8. I live the 456!
There are some interesting older AMs around the way from me. Prices really have bottomed out. There's a gentleman that I met recently who owns a silver 840 with staggered 18" alpinas who's got an AM Lagonda in minty condition. Maybe I should graduate to a Lagonda :D Pair it up with a Quatroporrte for my chica and we'd be the real oddballs on tha block :lol3

Noggie 03-04-2009, 01:33 AM A DB9 is probably the only thing that can replace my 8, those cars are just stunning.
To bad they are 300.000++gbp over here.
ethanw 03-04-2009, 01:40 AM If oil goes back to $170 I am in for one this time....I've been drooling on this car for too long.....

I'm a service/commission engineer for NOV (National Oilwell Varco)
And I also travel all over the world.
Currently on a rig outside Angola, heading for China in the end of the month.
I haven't been to Huston yet though, but I was in Pascagula Mississippi 2 years ago.
Let me know if you come to Stavanger again, love to chat with a fellow e31 owner

A 8 widebody can truly make our cars look very exotic. Cut, stretch and reuse the fenders. I'm not a supporter of chopping a perfectly good 8 so it would have to be an 8 that is worth chopping... like a parts car.
Perhaps we can write to "overhaulin" and have one done up. :buttrock Michael you still have that parts car???

Koenig kit looks very nice to me.

Depends on the model. The ones above are circa 1992 17in wheels. Other then 348 wheels, they are the only alloy 17inchers made for Ferrari. Remember at the time our 8s still only had 16s...hell 7s just moved up to 16s from 15s as well! Ferrari has some great wheels. One of my favorites is below:

Multi-piece MAGNESIUM wheels made by speedline specially for Ferrari. The design is from the Mythos Concept car...well before our E31's ever had turbine wheels.
