Would you guys be interested in Coilovers? I just realized that the supplier may not carry the Koni Yellows for later models, but I will find out.
Also, please post or email me to specify what you want, year and model of your car by Wednesday Aug 6. Thanks
Micah D. Cranman 08-02-2003, 01:10 AM Guys, it MAY be possible that I could arrange for a group purchase on Koni Single Adjustables for a variety of BMW's. Let me get back with you fine people on Monday with more information, applications, and pricing. :)
joekannooks 08-02-2003, 01:23 AM I should be more specific... a Ground Control coilover kit would be ideal. Thanks!
Micah D. Cranman 08-02-2003, 01:33 AM Hrm.... well, I've seen a lot of interest lately in GC group purchases, but I think that's going to be HARD to pull off, mainly because GC SPECIFICALLY prohibits their dealers from running group purchases in their dealer agreement. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
They make special exceptions once in a while, but generally speaking, they won't do it. I honestly think that it's highly unlikely, especially for their flagship product.
Fraser 08-04-2003, 04:24 PM Any price on 4 Koni SA's for a 318ti?
Thanks!
Fraser
Micah D. Cranman 08-04-2003, 07:45 PM BMVW: I don't know what's happening with your supplier, but if you'd like, M3 motorwerks can handle this stuff. Not meaning to steal business or anyone's thunder, just putting it out there.
If you guys want us to do a Koni sale, we'll need 10 participants, and pricing will be approximately $30-$50 off depending on model (for instance, $569.95 shipped for Koni SA for E36 M3). Details to come soon -- give us about a week to get this going if / when you confirm you'd like to move forward. In the meantime, anyone should feel free to e-mail for projected pricing: info@m3motorwerks.com.
Ground Control GB on Coilovers is a NO GO, at least through M3 motorwerks, and I don't think they'll let anyone else do it, either.
Hi guys, these are the prices I have so far, we need 14 people...please let me know if you are definitely going to participate. Thanks

MikekiM 08-15-2003, 06:45 PM Surely someone else makes rr adj that your guy can source?
You can source the external rears from m3motorwerks, tc kline, or purems.com. They all advertise the external adustable rear koni's.
We currently have 12 people on the list if nobody has backed-out. We need 2 more people.....2 MORE.......
Balthazarr 08-17-2003, 12:20 AM Can you get the ext adj rr's in this GB or not?
I'll just go with TC otherwise. Press and piss are too much hassle.

hal9000 08-21-2003, 03:42 AM IF you can wait until after 9/15 (quarterly taxes due then), I'll take a set for an e36 m3 sedan.

Is this to be at midnite?
Balthazarr 08-25-2003, 03:55 PM PM'd you back.
Hi guys, we just have to wait for the supplier to contact us now. Hopefully, everyone will be contacted this week. Please be patient
M3joky8 08-26-2003, 10:26 AM Is it too late to get in on this?
Please let me know...
Andrew
Hi guys, I hope everyone who confirmed with me that they are in the group buy have been contacted by the supplier. If not, please let me know immediately.
Balthazarr 08-29-2003, 12:16 AM Good prices, but not what I want.
I called SPP and they said the rr's that I want are not available through them.
So, it's back to TCK.
Sorry guys....if you still haven't been contacted, I apologize for it. I got another email from the supplier saying that he has contacted half of the people today and will contact the other half tomorrow. Now, I hope that they really take their words. Keep you guys posted.
Balthazarr: Hope you will find what you want at a great price
CrayzeeM3 08-29-2003, 10:31 PM Too late to be added into this gb?
CrayzeeM3 08-29-2003, 10:36 PM I heard we had to modify the front strut housing?
hal9000 08-29-2003, 11:36 PM yep, for the yellows, you'll have to gut the stock front strut assemblies to put them in.
BMVW, is the guy willing to wait a couple of weeks - if so, I'm definately interested. Let me know.
Micah D. Cranman 09-01-2003, 11:43 AM M3 motorwerks carries externally adjustable rears. They aren't listed on our site (currently being revamped in a MAJOR way), but we offer them for $669 + $20 shipping. Might be able to do $659 + $20 shipping if we have enough participants, but quite frankly, we offer these as convenience items so there isn't any real margin for us to work with.
People....got your shocks yet? I got mine.
Balthazarr 09-26-2003, 04:12 PM Any one else get the set with externally adj rr's?
One tip: make sure you have a Dremel to enlarge bump rubber holes, new bushing holes and about a 1/2 inch bit for the OEM cupped washers before starting on the rears.
And if you are using the GC mounts or other aftermarket brand make sure that you don't cross thread the nylock nuts.
Don't ask me how I know.
:stickoutt
I had to replace the stock shock because I didn't have the proper tools, at least i thought so, but I lost one of the stock nuts so I used one of the nylock that come with the GC mounts.
Big mistake.
Wrong thread, but with the nylon insert it's hard to tell that you are cross threading until too late.
So I ended up driving with a loose mount hammering the tower for about 50 miles when i needed my car because the shops were closed until Monday and my Dremel ran out of cutting wheels that I needed to cut off the threaded stud.
A Dremel tool is a great thing to have.
hotdog19d 09-26-2003, 04:38 PM I got mine, whats everyone going to use for springs?
