Matt - I will e-mail you when I am ready to order. I am gonna try to reapply some anti-sqeal to my front brakes becasue they are sqeaking like crazy after they warm up or about 10 minutes into driving and if that doesn't then I might go for some new pads.

Taking the mirrors off, it's retail is $100, But, I can do that minus 10% and free shipping.

More ZKWs arrive this coming week, for those of you that don't want to "chance" lower quality;)

umnitza

is this a diy or can you refer us to someone who can professionally install Lamin-X or Stonegard type stuff?

umnitza

Xpel has a very large installer base.
StonGard doesn't quite have one as large.

Either installer can do both installs, but only a certified StonGard installer will provide you with StonGards $2000/4yr warranty.

Xpel is easier to install yourself, but if you do, you void the factory warranty for it which is $1000/2 years.

Lamin-x
08-21-2003, 12:23 PM
Lamin-x fog and headlight kit installation is very simple. A 10-year old could do it. The blue film can be installed over Stongard, but there is a concern of heat retention due to the thick coverings. Lamin-x changes the optics and protects the lens at the same time. It can be used to replace the Stongard.

That's correct.
It's possible to replace it.
While it doesn't offer the same thickness as StonGard, it offers the optics change. So, both serve their purposes quite well.
