Man oh man, I get to see a lot of action lately. I met up with my girlfriend at the airport to escort her back home after her shift ended at around 10pm. We were driving back with her in the lead. I was getting off 380 on the #1 lane that merges with northbound 280's #3 lane. The lane was clear and I was ahead of any cars in the merging lane by at least 5 carlengths. My girlfriend merged in just fine.
When it was my turn to merge in, this red car when and accelerated from 5 carlengths behind. He almost sideswiped me and forced me out of my lane. I noticed it was the older style Mustang 5.0, a maroon one. Not very fixed up, actually looking quite stock and somewhat dilapadated. I could tell that sucker had torque from the way he accelerated to force me out of the lane like the *bleep* he was.
He then realized he was caught in my HID's. He had 2 passengers in the car and had a grey interior (- you see details with HID's). He then promptly cut off another car in the passing lane and zoomed ahead.
Any self repsecting driver shouldn't let this go unpunished. So I followed. When I caught up to his bumper. He changed lanes to zoom ahead to try to flee. I downshifted into 4th, took her to redline. As I pass, I hear the poor Ford engine wailing loudly. By the time I shifted into 5th, he was 6 carlengths behind and falling. A turn was coming up so I had to slow down, my speedo touched a bit past 120mph right after the Serramonte sign. Time to slow down before the sweeping turn ahead comes up. Plus the In'nOut Burger/KrispyKreme always sets off my V1 so I always slow down there.
As quick as they may *seem*, the Mustang 5.0 didn't impress me.
Mustang 5.0, OWNED. :devillook
