Anybody up for a meeting somewhere driving identical cars and going for it :D ? How could we go about doing that.

I would love to teach you guys a lesson ;) !

Yeah, please clarify, who's the fastest guy in terms of top speed, around a road course, down the 1320, etc...???

Now, if you're talking 2 identical cars at the Strip, you find me a donor vehicle with an owner not in love with his clutch, I'll gladly take a shot at it... :evil2

Well, I guess it would have to be at all level. No need to be picky :) So all we need is a nice strip and a race track (we can set some cones on the race track for Jim ;))

In the straight line, I like my chances, provided I'm allowed to launch the way I like to launch... 17 yrs drag racing experience should come in handy.... :D

Dave, you will certainly score some points at the strip. Maybe we should have BF regionals first to find out who's the fastest and then only the best of the best gets to meet in Vegas for the ultimate nationals :)

Hey Dale, any specific dates you're thinking of doing at either of those tracks? Would love to try to keep up with you. I'll be at T-Hill on 8/8 and 8/19, FYI.

I haven't botched a launch (in my mind, "botched" = a 60' time of more than 2.0) since 1999... ;)

Ethell is a Ex SCCA Trans Am Mustang that Pops lets me drive once in a while. Full Tube frame, 650hp, Hewland 6 speed, etc
Really hard to hold on to. Bill, no problem glad to help and I'm glad you like the suspension. Maybe at Sears in Nov. I bought an ITS E36 BMW recently, so I will be working on that. So not much track time for me

I'd be willing to bet that Bryan is our fastest BF track driver, everything else being equal.

Well, I will be at Thill on 8/19 too, but I doubt I am as fast as Bill...we shall see.

There are some guys lurking on this list who would probably kick my arse all over the place. Whatever happened to Brian Lieb? He probably sees more seat time in a week than I see in 6 months. Then there's James Clay who has recently proven what he can do in his E36 in World Challenge. A few other SVWC drivers have been known to read/post on here, as well as some very accomplished club racers and auto-xers.

Now, if we are talking about driving in the rain, all bets are off. I'd feel good about my chances, simply because I think I'm a little crazier than the average sane racer...:evil2

Well Dave will smoke us, Bryan will lap us and Jim O. well, put us to shame... so how about racing wheelbarrows anybody?

You have to do it in equal vehicles. So that means one of the schools or akrt place.

Ocala Grand Prix is about an hour from Orlando (so can combine it with a Mouse trip for the rest of the family).

Nice course that they can configure from a very tight twisty cource, to a fairly wide open course.

You would have to have some base driver wieght and ballast the lighter guys since the driver weight really effects the karts. You don't want to findout who is lightest, but who is faster.

We'll have to get back out to 2nd creek when I get back. Finally got my blown struts replaced.

Oh oh, man, it's on!!!!!! :D I just got done spending 4 hours at 2nd Creek and let me know that new pavement is a handful! Feels more like rallying... Anyway, it adds on the fun.

As far as karting, well we definitely need to drive the same one with the same weight!

As far as I know, who was regularly 1 second or 2 behind me at autox's? ;)

I vote for Segal...Won several BMWcca events, as well as Ferrari Challenge races and hes 17! Props to a young and aspiring great driver :)
