Well i was driving home yesterday and ran into a 6er for sale. So today i stopped to see what it was, and well it is an 88 635CSi. It is white on white, it has some aftermarket rims, 155k. There are also some horse stickers on the windows........don't ask me why.... they are the 3rd owner and asking $5,700, do you think that is a reasonable price. What should i look into for problems, defects, etc.. I have about 4k and can get some more if i really work my ass off and borrow some money. If i was to buy it i will take it in and get it tested at BMW. Oh yea it is an auto :(

The 88-89 6ers are the most desireable as they have the small bumpers surrounded by the new style body cladding. The price seems fair, but look out for a bad auto tranny and rust in the fenderwells and shock towers. Check the seats to see all the functions operate. If not, you could have the twisted seat syndrome.

Say the seats were shot, how much do you think it would be to replace them, and are they easy to find a replacement for? Yea when i test drive it i will try every gear and make sure to take it up to free way speeds.. Thanks for the input, cool that it is the most desirable, beceause it really does look good
