Anybody willing to start a Group Buy on Evosport's power(normal) pullies?

I doubt that they will go that low, as far as I know, the only people who sell the evosport pullies are evosport. so you may want to straight to them to get an answer.

They are 279 now I believe, if we can get down to 220 or so, that'd be nice as hell...

What kind of gains could I expect with these?

A buddy of mine from New York dynoed the Evosport pullies on his 95 M3.

I wish I had the dyno chart...but he gained a solid 10rwhp/11rwtq. Those are damn good numbers for a NA M3 for a little less than 300.

Somebody DEFINITELY has to start this GB...we have more than enough people and I'm sure Evosport would love to do it...I'd do it but no time guys, honest.

I've emailed them too a few days ago about a GB, no reply. Called several times too, they appear to always be closed???
Screw em, I'll give UUC's pulley's a shot. I really don't think there is that much of a difference between the 2 sets especially if you're going with the Audiophile version. One set of dyno #'s from 1 person on different days is not a good comparison. Just my .02

Forget UUC guys. I haven't heard one good thing about them yet from anybody on here. Seems like they are only giving around 3 or 4whp, which is worthless compared to the Evosport.

I emailed Evosport as well, maybe they'll get back to me? If we can get them to respond to one of us, I'm sure we can get this official...we'll see, but there's no way I'm gonna go with UUC.

Well, After calling and calling I finally got throught to Ben at Evosport and I told him im interested in a GB if he could quote me some prices.

His answer was "We are trying to determine if we want to have a GB"

He said to give him acouple days for them to decide..

I don't have time to run this GB but im just trying to help someone who has the time, I really want the pullies.

I guess we should know something in a couple of days.

we should try to give him a more concrete # of people who would be in this GB, that might persuade his decision on whether to run a GB or not...please start a list, add your name if you are going to be in for Evosport pullies:

Is the 10 rwhp # for the Evo pullies done with the kit that underdrives the alt? How about the kit that does not underdrive the alt? How much HP do you gain?

Has anyone compared outer diameters of the pulleys? UUC vs. Evosport?

Thats all this comes down to...pulley diameter. The larger the diameter, the more your waterpump or powersteering is underdriven. How much do you want to trade off?

My guess is that the car making only 3rwhp and 0 torque more with the UUC pulleys isn't going to do much better with the evosports.

Dyno runs can change a few horsepower from one to the other as well. It all depends on the conditions and the adaptation of the ecu to new mods. When I swapped out exhausts on my car, I lost 8 horsepower with the first run. I also gained 3 above original after a second run. This was with an exhaust that supposedly gives 10+ hp at the wheels?

Not all cars gain the same power with the same mods. That should be obvious.

Sorry for the ranting, but I wish people would realize that a pulley is a simple thing. There is hardly any difference between all the ones on the market. I know, I've compared most of them!

We are looking into starting the GB. We have to call Evosport and see what we can do. I'll keep you posted:).

Put it this way, if the price is 270 compared to the original 350; and now we're having a group buy(if it goes through), you're saving A LOT of money for 10whp.

I'd venture to guess like 200-220 depending how many people commit. Definitely worth it for the power.

I tried the UUC pullies and have given up on them because I had problems with installing the power steering pulley. I have a 95 M3 and when I bolted the PS pulley the inner lip of the pulley gets caught on the mounting bolts of the power steering pump. So, I called UUC and they said it sounds like I have a pump froma 328 and they sent me another one. This pulley was completely different in design from the first one. When I bolted this pulley on, the pulley was way out of alignment with the rest of other pulleies. The 2nd UUC PS pulley stuck out about an inch too far towards the front of the car. So, frustrated I sent all the pullies back to UUC and I want to try the Evosports b/c the UUC ones have discouraged me. I don't know, the PS pulley was either not made right or I have some weird ass power steering pulley that no one else has.

Companies don't have time to waste and when someone calls and says a group wants to do a purchase, they want some information. If you just call them and say we want to do a Group Buy(especially a company that's hard to get in contact with) you want to make sure you have ALL the information they'd want.

Which is why we are getting a list together of how many people will definitely be interested if they say yes...that's why we need to know everybody who wants a set.

Guys, I talked to Brad this afternoon. He asked that I post something up: This will not be done.

The price of the pulleys is set where they are already. Just go to your favorite retailer that you buy from and get them there. They are good quality and worth it.

Coincidentally, Umnitza will begin carrying the Evosport pulleys later this week. Same price.

Yeah, most manufacturers have minimum advertised pricing that the dealers need to adhere to in order to remain a dealer. So what that means is that you gotta pay to play guys...
Oh well...

I guess that's fine...$270 isn't all that harsh, but a GB would've been great. Too bad this didn't go through guys...
