Well, me and some friends were in HIN in Chicago this past weekend and decide after the show we would drive around to see if we could find any street races goin on. We were told there were some goin down in Chinatown. Well, after about a half an hour of driving and ending up in what looked like the worst part of Chicago, we found nothing. We ended up finding our way back to our hotel when we saw a few cars drive by. There was a modded up new body VW GTI, a new Lancer EVO, a modded up Subaru WRX, and a couple other cars with them. We decide to see if they wanted to play around.

I took a right and started to follow them, I passed a couple of the cars in the back of the group and ended up in between the WRX and the GTI, I down shifted and matted it. I looked in my rear view and noticed the two following with me when I hit a red light.

Remember I have 3 guys in the back seat and me and another guy in the front, over 600lbs. of extra weight. It was a 3 lane road and I was in the right, the WRX next to me and the GTI next to him. The WRX started to rev, bouncin of the limiter. I caught a bunch of shit from my buddys so I was gettin kinda nervous, they had to remind me about the AWD factor. Well the light turned green and I launched. To my surprise I was already almost a car lenght in front of both of them. I walked away from the GTI but the WRX stayed right at my rear wheel. We hit second, same results. It was third gear I figured I was going to get beat in but suprisingly I kept the same lead all the way through 3rd gear. We never got a chance to hit 4th because of a red light but I did get my props for keeping my lead throughout the race. The guys waved and took a left at the next light.

Gotta love the M Power!!

I think if I would have had the guys out of my car I would have been able to walk away from both of them.

I was a little dissapointed the EVO didn't play around with us. The guy seemed like he was alot of talk at HIN when I checked out his car but when we met on the street he stayed quietly behind.

Nope my car was a 325is 189hp automatic when I bought her. I used to get smoked by rice burners, now I take my revenge!! :evil2

Nice kill. I have a question for you. I was told that you have a friend with a supercharged/Nitrous red 3.32. Can you tell me how can I get in touch with him? I have an AA Supercharged 325 and I wanted to obtain more information about N2O and BMW engines. Thanks

Nah, I plan on getting it dynoed in the next couple weeks. I just need to find a spot to do it and see if I can get some of the guys together to run.

Yeah actually Josh (the one with the red 332 blown with NX) was in the car at the time of the race. He said he was impressed with how she pulls as well and I take that as a pretty good compliment figuring waht he gets to drive around in!!

E-mail me and I can get you in touch with him. He actually sells the kits and is very knowlegable on the topic.
