I'm on a budget and driving to school on bald, cord-showing tires in the rain :help. Where can I buy some cheap tires. I need 2 225/45/17's and either 2 245/45/17's or 2 245/40/17's

I don't know about the stores in the Bay Area but maybe look on craigslist or tireseasy.com. New in the size you are looking for starts at $51.80 each.

For brand new ones you should hit Larry's Tires in the stack. Find the lowest price around and they'll match it.

I gave them a price that was actually $10 cheaper than the actual prices i shopped around for and they still matched it....

There's a guy who has a warehouse in South SF by the airport and he's got plenty of used tires in the sizes you need.

you could try Pacific Tire on Main St. in Milpitas. Have been there for at least 5 or 6 set of tires. Phil is straight up and reasonable.

America's Tire Co. has always been good to me with new tire purchases.
