I've had my helmet for a while and figured it would be a good idea to clean the liner. However, it's not removeable. How do you guys clean your helmets?

Local MC shop recommended Fabreeze. I've been doing it about twice a year since with good results. Note, autocrossers typically don't wear their helmets for longer than five minutes at a time, but at recent Evolution schools they were on for about an hour at a time. I've used cleaners like Woolite and water. Get a wash cloth and give it a light scrubbing. Then alternate between clean water/wash cloth and dry towel. Set outside and air dry. Worked like a champ. I think after next cleaning I'll use a belaclava(sp?) and just throw it in the wash when it gets grungy. dngo 07-27-2003, 09:26 PM Originally posted by Randy Forbes Note, autocrossers typically don't wear their helmets for longer than five minutes at a time, but at recent Evolution schools they were on for about an hour at a time. That's true, unless you're instructing. I've had my helmet on for long periods of time, running back and forth between cars. Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.
