Hey all

car was running all sweetly, then suddenly the centre console and adjustable suspension loses power, then comes on and off intermittantly..

Its losing power. So i open the boot and the battery on the right hand side of the car has the positive cable coming out of it and into what looks like a plastic fuse holder, but in the middle of the fuse holder theres no fuse, just a piece of flat metal which is broken in the middle and sparking!

So i join the metal back together and power is restored. But then close the boot and it goes off and i cant get back into the boot!!

so how do i get back into the boot, it appears that that second battery supplies power to the windows sunroof and boot.. ie everything so ive lost everything and cant get back into the boot to have a look at it!

when the cars off the hazards continually flash... HELP!!!!!

Also you can try to unlock the glovebox.

Good luck!

glove box was unlocked..

i looked inside the glove box for any sort of key hole but there is only one of them on the outside between the two buttons. in unlocked position its all the way clockwise.. how much pressure are we talking about applying to this lock! it feels very easy to turn clockwise and anticlockwise.

its not working! hazard lights are flashing and i need to get this boot opened!

well done boys! you saved me

might want to change those instructions to make it more clear

there is actually a key hole near the boot lever! i never actually knew that.. nearly broke the glove box key hole pushing alot of force into it.

boot opened, and theres that metal flat fuse thing, joined it back to gether and all is sweet! so now i need to replace that flat metal bit.. is that a genuine bmw part or somebody has put it in aftermarket.

right hand side cable comes off positive off the battery into a flat fuse (looks like tin) and on the outside there is a plastic black surrounding

If you have the glovebox locked, the trunk won't open either.
