Not exactly a kill story but fun anyway. This happened a while ago but had to tell something better due to the embarassment my sister is(see the "embarassment to the bmw name" post). Me and my dad were driving to pick up my sister from college. Were in NJ and she goes to school in SC. Me and my dad took "my moms" 2000 525(auto). We cruised through every state down through NC with nothing good going on and not really going over 100-105. When we got over the SC border a guy in a boxster goes by pretty fast(hadn't seen any sports cars or anything in a while). Being bored with the 12 hr+ drive my dad gives a little chase and shuts off the ac to give us more power. We ride up with the guy a little...not really racing or anything just cruising doing like 90. A few more minutes go by and were just crusing along...some more cars joined our little "pack" of cars that were going somewhat fast in the fast lane. It was like us, the guy in the boxster, a guy from NJ in the mercedes suv, and some girls in a neon, civic, and kia? Were all doing around 95 and over the next few minutes the cars fade as we go at least 100 so its down to the mercedes, us and the porsche. I was shocked that the neon did not fall apart going 100. So were doing like 100 and the mercedes truck is going like 110 and keep in mind that my dad isn't a crazy driver or anything so he wouldn't go like 120 or anything and also there were quite a few other cars around. We passed the boxster guy around 105 and was surprised he didn't give chase and it took us a few minutes to get by the mercedes guy who was pushing himself at 110+. It was nice to cruise by them after all that hard work. So there we were cruising into the nice weather of SC in the bimmer with all the other cars behind us. Not really a kill story or anything but was just bored.

SC is known for insane amts of hwy patrol , I have been nailed twice (my only tix ever and I have been speeding for 15 years) so I stay way away from SC

Didn't see any cops on the way down...I always see a ton in Virginia. I'm surprised there is a lot down in SC because it seems they let anything go.

:biglaughb LMAO

Sometimes those long drives are fun, especially when a 'pack' of nice cars join you single file. Passing some frustrated guy in a mini-van at high speeds with various exotics behind you is fun in itself.

So let me make sure I get this: 120 is crazy, but passing at 110+ isn't? Where does crazy begin? 115?

Well I'm just saying like 110 is the top speed he will pretty much go, thats with no traffic and a straight open road. I meant that he really wouldn't be pushing speeds close to the limiter of 128.
