This is my first kill of the day.

I was coming home from my mechanics shop after getting some upgraded piping installed. I'm pissed because I got stuck in traffic for the most part of my trip home.

Anyway, I finally get on a nice stretch of road. I have the sunroof back, both windows down, and jamming to some 311. I'm in the right lane just enjoying the weather. I get this tingling sensation in the back of my head so I look up at my rear view mirror. This white shape is coming up fast. He switches to the left lane and starts pacing me.

I look over and notice he has some gauges on an a-pillar. Nice. There are some members on the board with eclipse's so I know not to take them lightly. Just then he hammers it. I hear this whoooossshhhh. I rev match to 4th (i'm going about 85).

I start building boost - 100 - 110 - 120ish - shift to fifth - 125 - 130ish. When I'm going this fast I don't look in the mirror too much because I like to keep my eyes on the road. I finally look back and he looked to be about 4 - 5 cars back. I shut it down. I press on the brakes ( Stoptech's rock ).

We hit sane speeds again and he comes up and gives me a thumbs up.

Nice...

Check out my mini cooper s kill...

I had a dyno done under less than optimal conditions.

hp :: 287 rwhp
trq :: 267 ft lbs trq

I'm guessing with proper airflow over my IC that I'm around 300ish rwhp.

My mechanic is working on this IC mister that should help battle heatsoak.

Are there any papers that talk about temps and the effects on hp? On how cooling the intake charge increases hp? I'm interested because I was told that (roughly) for every 20 degs of temp you drop you can gain 8 hp. I'm hoping to cool it with the mister ~60 degs - maybe get 25 more hp to the wheels.
