I was coming home from my grandparents(in the M3), when I saw a silver, what seemed to be, WRX ahead at the light. Luckily, we were lined up as the first two cars. I didn't look over, rather checked my cell phone because it was on vibrate, to see if I had any missed calls...no I didn't. Played with the CD a little to find the right song I wanted, you know, just messing around waiting for a looooong light.

Light turns green, I'm still looking down, and the guy absolutely flies off the line. I don't give chase, just get through the gears a bit faster than I usually do(although I was never producing boost during shifts, just, driving normally, but not :) )

So he's about 3 cars ahead of me and we're going about 50mph. My beltway on ramp was coming and had to take it because I didn't feel like playing and taking a major detour. So I get over in his lane to take the on ramp...I get on the on ramp lane, the dotted lane to take it. Here's the good part, I KNOW this was not the way he was planning on going. He sharply turns to take the on ramp with me. He didn't cut me off or anything, but he took one HELL of a sharp turn to get on....it's on now kid..

The on ramp was rather long and the road was smooth. There was nobody ahead of him and he nailed it. I was in 2nd gear and decided I would teach this kid a lesson. I had to let off about 5 times on the on ramp to not run into him...all in 2nd and 3rd gear. The on ramp ends and he's still on it...we're going about 75mph...

He switches over to the middle lane, we're going about 60mph...I think he had a blow off valve unless they sound like that stock? Anyway, I mash the throttle while being a 1/4 car length back. 3rd gear zips through and I pull even and gain about a car on him. 4th gear is such an amazing gear with a blower...it wasn't even funny how badly I pulled on him to 130. I should have just let off after 3rd gear to tell you guys the truth, it was worthless.

He was cool though, he waved to me and took the immediate next exit. Nice cars though...I love the way the turbo sounds on that thing...I wouldn't mind having one as a daily driver car...fast, nice and 4 doors.

I wonder how the outcome would be if it was from a stop? I'm guessing he would have me through 1st and midway through 2nd...but after that, he'd be toast.

Anybody have one of these? What kind of numbers?

0-60 high 4's, turn about 13.2 stock in the 1/4...They are putting down amazing amounts of power when modded, though. MUCH more than the evo.

Power to the tune of 300 awhp

Their (the STi, that is) traps would indicate that you should have no problem with them, boost...

I'm sure they have hellish 60 ft times though...

As someone who's driven one on a track, they have lots of low end power, but it seems to peter out quickly as you get up in gears. This STI driver apparently had more car than driver, because I passed a modded up M3 at Watkins Glen in the STI. Boy was he mad. :)

What are they trapping at? I'm guessing btw 100-105.
