Just wanted to comment on belt tensioner spring differences but was wondering if there's any technical issues! The old design seems weak(not as much pressure) compared to the new design. I can definetly tell a difference how much tighter the belts are with the new design. Does the new design fail more then the old design?

I have never ever seen the design of tensioner/damper in the 2nd pic. Where did you get it?

I have seen this on a 2000 E38, but not anywhere else.
