I need one for track - private schools and BMWCCA.

Is there a "hot ticket" for this?

get a G-force
its SA2000 which is good for auto-x , driving school and track events. the price is about 200-220 I believe. Its a nice helmet.

If you ever make it around Oakland, stop by Bell Motorsports. They are really cool, have tons of helmets in stock, and often have specials. For AutoX you only M95 or M2000, and those are lots cheaper.

I chose to go with a full face S2000 for track/autocross and SpeedRing use. Need the face shield for speedring!

For auto-x, you can get away with a thick hat! Honestly, most clubs will allow even an M85 if you ask nicely. For anything else, and certainly anything at speed like a track day, I'd go with SA2000 - it is legal for everything and you won't find yourself tech'd out for at least 7 years - judging by the SA95's that are just now being retired by some rules.

No point spending even $100 on a helmet that's only good for a couple of years, when another $150 will buy you an SA2000.

Bell seems to be the best, I've heard good things about G Force. Don't know about Bieffe, Simpson, etc......

Like it's been said before "what's your head worth?" A helmet is a stupid place to try to save money. Don't decide to invest in a CAI over a helmet. This sport, fun as it is, has a body count.....
