I had the tires off today and inspected the calipers.
No brembo label or anything. The only thing I could read was rj19
The rears had roundels on them

Your fronts are Brembo 4 piston calipers, and the rears are single piston ATE. Our brakes are much sought ofter for upgrades to various models including *gasp* some 850s....:stickoutt In no case was the Brembo logo displayed as their aftermarket offerings are, but it is stamped on the caliper. CC90103 (build date 01/95) has nothing visible and CC89793 (build date 08/94) has BMW painted on the caliper. A third offering has BMW cast into the caliper. Other than this I haven't a clue

My original factory Brembo's were replaced with aftermarket 332mm two piece Brembo's and Hawk pads. There were immediate offers to buy the originals, with the lowest bid being $500. The originals had Brembo stamped on the calipers.

To all 840 owners: We have the desirable Brembo front calipers on our cars and these will refurbish to like new. Coupled with a nice set of drilled rotors you'd have a nice front setup for a small fraction of Whale's BBK kit cost. Although I know the UK cost of these kits, I have purposely not quoted US pricing... that will be determined by Wuffer when they are available on his site.

I will have another early car complete upgrade (Front/Rear) brake kit available in 6 months or so.
It is the setup I have currently on my car...the same 322mm/Brembo front as found on the 840, matted to the Euro-spec Vented 328mm/39mm single piston rear (larger then stock 8er rears compared to on all save the Euro 850CSi's). It is a complete front/rear upgrade for the early E31s; or would just be a rear upgrade for the later E31s.
(Yes, I do also have a brand new Euro CSi rear kit as well, but it is sold/claimed)

Is that sold or claimed? :devillook
If it changes to 'available', let me know.
