Hey guys any of you rebuild the sunroof, the sunroof sliding mechanism to be more precise? I am told by my friendly mechanic that I should replace the sunroof rails, gates and the gear wheels. My sunroof did get stuck once already :-(

Do any of you guys have a complete parts list for the job above, list that I can order from Gault? I am sure someone here had to buy all the parts for this rebuild.
And is this an easy job or I should let me mechanic do it?

Thanks guys.....

I am guessing this is for the 91 not the 97? Here is a link to parts for a 91 built in April

I have not done this job so someone else might opine with suggested parts. Have you tried a search on here for this job to see if anyone has already done this job?

Mine is stuck too. It makes the sound that its doing something but it only moves a inch or so.

Did you initalize it already? Does it move vertical only or horizontal too?

Harry yes indeed it was initialized few times and the mechanic assessed the problem by removing the cover and getting access to the mechanism.
I believe buying the rails, guidance mechanism and the gears won't be such an expensive investment to ensure the proper functionality.
I was just curious if someone done it and what parts were required for this job... Else I will figure it out and post that information on this board....

Cheers
