View Full Version : 95 M3 takes out F-15

Well I got tired of destroying Sportbikes, Supra TT's, C5 vettes and measely F-bod's so I decided to take it up a notch and seek out some more worthy competition.

So I have a friend in the air force, who has been talking some trash about how fast his F-15 is  So we meet at the airbase and line up. Now he knows I will take him off the line so to be a good sport and make it a little more fair, I agree to go from a roll.

So we are pacing each other at 30mph and I give him the three honks and I drop it down into first and got this tremendous launch and his nose drops back to my rear quarter. I can hear his jet engines roaring so I know he is giving it all he's got. When I dropped it into second I left him and I accelerated so hard that I actually took off! So I dodged a few seagulls and looked back and waved goodbye to my little disgruntled pilot friend who at this point had given up. Than as I am soaring into the clouds, I looked down at some bottles of STP octane booster I had in the car and got an idea. Since I had some time to kill I put her into 5th and quick flew over to Iraq and dropped a few molotov cocktails on Some Guerilla rebels, gave a thumbs up to some of our soldiers who were all waving and yelling NICE BIMMER!, than I turned her back around and was back in time for dinner! Props to our top end!

Next stop NASA! I heard that space shuttle is supposedly pretty fast  I have a little hunch my bimmer will have its way with it too  Plus I always wanted to visit Mars!

Silverstreak, please keep an eye out for those Jealous troublemaker's with inferior vehicles that come in and try and call BS:rolleyes: If they do, you know what to do....Put their silly little butts in time out!

I had the privilege of taking on a Mig-28 and had him by four plane lengths when I had to shut it down due to a school zone and my car is bone stock.

I bet it was because my car is much lighter but I thought he could catch me with his aerodynamics :buttrock

I was stopped at a light in Long island and this teenage kid came up to me on his Huffy bike, complete with a baseball cards in the spokes for that racecar sound. Anyway he starts telling me about his friend Ellis Juan and how his car a 99 Chevy, has 500 rwhp, thanks to his blower turbo nitrous fuel injection 4 barrel carb double triple quad setup. So after 2 minutes of hearing this kid story, he asked if I wanted to race, naturally I said no, because we all know BMWs aren't made for racing and can never out accelerate any car, well except a Le Car. He started getting really agitated with me saying he'll go on his WebTV to start talking junk because he has no life anyway so he has lots of time. He also said that one day he won't need to ride the short bus, his mom will stop making him wear his helmet when he wants to smack himself in the head, and when he wins a round a hide the snake in the backdoor against his uncle Chester he will finally get to see a girls pee pee.

OOOOOOOOOOOOH yeah maybe you're right that's why we have no C5 or F Body owners around deez dere parts, the fake gold chains, drawn on chest, and leisure suite Larry style polyester suite might mix with the waste... The resulting fumes are more toxic then mixing bleach and ammonia.

Q: And what were you doing while all this was going on?
A: Keeping up foreign relations.
Q: Keeping up foreign relations?
A: You know, flipping him the bird.
Q: Yes, I know what flipping him the bird means Goose.
A: I . . . I'm sorry. I hate it when it does that.

hah... Corvette owners.

Hate to break it to them, but an S54 M Coupe *IS* faster than your run of the mill C5. Only down a little bit on HP, but significantly lighter with more aggressive gearing. Don't S54 M Coupes have the potential to run mid-high 12's bone stock?

Oh... but don't let anybody talk bad about the almighty C5.

It was pretty obvious you were some disgruntled Corvette person long before you posted the self-incriminating link. It is a pretty funny story, but you ruin it at the end by getting all sour with the comment about being put in time-out.

Instead of all this childish b.s., why don't you just line up with an M coupe and settle the matter. You're not afraid to find out the truth, are you? :D

BTW, how do you like my Z06 rims? ;)

Actually the Subs and custom enclosure are gone, I bought the car with them and decided to take them out shortly after. I don't care about booming bass (only SQ) and could do without the extra 75lbs that the damn thing weighed:eek:

As retired USAF this story is 100% pure [BS] There is no way a Wing Commander is going to allow this happen without major involvement by HQ USAF. It just won't/doesn't happen like this.

^^ This may be the least intelligent man ever to find his way onto the internet. I bet he is often confused by doorknobs.

I have to assume that he only read the very first part and/or just skimmed through it. (magazines in the past have setup races pitting cars against jets). I mean if the flying to Iraq didn't do it, you'd think at least the trip to Mars would have clued him in...

Same difference. We were both in the Intermediate group, and they were running on R-compounds while I had piddly street tires. I think they got pissed that alot of BMWs and the really fast 996 Turbo kept passing them, so they kept dropping the rear wheels off on corners to "straighten 'em" out. Eventually got a flat - R compounds can't take that abuse. :nono

But you're right... my car is a BMW - so it must be SOOOO lowly and slow compared to an American icon such as the Vette.

I'm not saying I can even tango with most Vettes - but I'm not quite sure why you find it so hard to believe a semi-competent driver in an M3 can pass another semi-competent driver in a C5.

Oh - but I'm sure most C5 owners don't know much about racing in anything but a straight line, so that explains it. :devillook

I don't think your car is "lowly" by any means. I think BMW's are awesome cars. It was not a question of a BMW vs a Chevy. Once again, I am not biased.

You say you "don't see why I find it so hard to believe a semi-competent driver in an M3 can pass another semi-competent driver in a C5"...

Its not that simple.

I think you left out a big piece of the puzzle in that statement. It wasn't just "a C5". That C5 supposedly had 500HP, and now I find out was also equipped with R-compounds.

By your statement you try and make it seem like driver skill was a constant variable and that your 240HP BMW simply kicked a 500HP vette's ass. [B] Well this is exactly the type thing that started this whole thread. [B]

That was me on Corvetteforum that acknowledged that an S54 M Roadster/Coupe would easily run with a stock C5, especially a C5 with an automatic transmission.

BMW cars are nice especially those of the M variety. The new M3 and M5 are quick cars, but on average a C5 is going to be faster given similar drivers. Sadly enough, a lot of C5 and M drivers aren't all that hot and rarely do you race someone of equal driving skills.
