MDR 08-04-2003, 12:33 AM bump Micah D. Cranman 08-04-2003, 07:54 PM Guys, I'm pleased to announce that we'll be able to do this GB! :) Here's the deal in summary: Need to move at LEAST 20 of these. Nothing will ship until all 20 are purchased. No close date on the group purchase until we have 20 orders, then I'll set one. I'll just be buying and shipping in batches of 20. Pricing: $51 + $7 shipping. It's $10 off. Doesn't seem like much, but it's 16.5% off. These are pretty cheap to begin with, anyway. :D I'll see about getting my hands on some replacement bushings as well for those that want them. Official GB to come in 3-7 days. Hang in there, folks! :) If you're just ITCHING to order, make a PayPal payment using the link in my signature below and include the following: - shipping address - phone number - item you're purchasing - an extra $1499 "RUSH DELIVERY" fee! (Ok, just kidding -- don't do that unless you REALLY want to. ;)) Questions? Contact info is in the signature, folks. hatnlvr 08-04-2003, 08:26 PM Thanks Micah for stepping up and taking care of this!! You will have my paypal later tonight;) blueIce 08-04-2003, 10:04 PM What are these? What do they do? Texas M3/4 08-05-2003, 10:28 AM Micah - Will I be able to add to my order a set of their el-cheapo but good sway bar reinforcements? Things are like $2 (ea?) or so if I remember...?? Thanks. 10kken 08-05-2003, 11:08 AM Micah, I'm interested in getting the GC shims and the OEM bushings. What about doing an install fest like the MPACT folks out in California did? I know that doing the RTABs can be a PITA for DIY and I could use some help. I bet there's some other folks in Hot'lanta that would be interested too. jdmorris 08-05-2003, 01:57 PM Thanks Micah! I'm also interested in the OE bushings (as well as the shims). Hook me up with the info. John M. JT-KGY 08-05-2003, 02:51 PM Isn't the GB just for the shims?? Anyways.. count me in for 2 orders. Now, I have to find out where to get the tools.. Micah D. Cranman 08-05-2003, 11:49 PM It's 11:50pm here and I'm tired. Will do my best to answer your questions tomorrow, guys. Sorry for the delay! Please be patient with me -- I'm swamped right now. Micah D. Cranman 08-06-2003, 05:51 PM bluIce: These shims are inserted next to the stock rear trailing arm bushing which is notoriously soft and prone to excessive wear. They stiffen handling and help the stock bushings last a bit longer. Very worthwhile mod, especially since it's so cheap. :) 10kken: It's a possibility, but right now M3 motorwerks has sooo much going on (we're moving to a new location on Friday, building a new website, have 4 new group buys on the horizon, are getting incorporated, training new employees, and have about a week of back accounting to do) that I just don't know if there's going to be time. If we can manage it, you'll definitely see a post in the Southeast regional forum. :) jdmorris: Info on the OE bushings will be included in the official group purchase. :) JT-KGY: It's for the shims, but we'll be offering the bushings as an option. :) JT-KGY 08-06-2003, 06:19 PM WhippedButter, Count me in for two sets of the GC shims.... now that I just have to make sure I could get my hands on the BMW tools required.... any other options as far as tools goes?? Thanks, SI///M3 08-06-2003, 06:34 PM How much for OEM RTAB bushings + shims? 10kken 08-06-2003, 09:33 PM Micah, Thanks again for setting this up and keep us informed. I nkow that for me, getting a good deal on the parts is only part of the process, so if you can find a way to set up an install-fest I'd really appreciate it. My guess is that there would be many others interested too, so you'd end up selling more parts :12:. But if you can't, you can't, that's life. But thnaks again for stepping up to the plate to get this going. Ken M3Jokster 08-07-2003, 01:48 AM OEM RTAB are like only 12 or 13 bucks at Pacific bmw. I know...just ordered one yesterday. Micah D. Cranman 08-08-2003, 09:38 AM Guys, pricing for OEM RTAB bushings is still undecided. Please wait until the group purchase for complete details. You'll know everything by Wednesday or so, but for right now, I'm moving offices so I can't set this up. Just hang tight and then we'll rock and roll. Micah D. Cranman 08-08-2003, 04:33 PM Ok, I found the time to make this happen. Here's the official group buy: http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=120976 :alright |
