Parents thinking of putting these on my car vs replacing with new Pirelli P4000s (currently on)...considering I don't have too many tire choices (at least, performance-oriented tire choices) to chose from with 15" wheels...what are your thoughts between the two? Things I should be aware of? Etc...

The XGTV4 would be a higher performance tire than the P4000. I would not recommend the Michelin tire though. I think you can get a better tire for less in the Yoko AVS DB-S2. You could almost get 4 for the price of 2 of the Michelin.
If I can help let me know.

NOOOO!!! Those are the worse tires EVER!

I had Michelin XGT V4's on my Integra(they come stock). Those tires have the most horrid wet traction I have ever experienced out of any tire(truck, SUV, A/S you name it, they take the cake).

They're quiet, and they wear like bricks for 220 treadwear rating, but they are the most frustrating tires I have ever driven on. After almost losing the car going around a wet highway onramp at ~20mph behind a minivan I got some Bridgestone RE71's and absolutely fell in love with them. Too bad they aren't produced anymore, I love those RE71's. :(

Segal, try to get a sticker tire like an ES100 or something like that. Very comfortable tire, but much higher performing than a P4000.
