Hi Folks,

I have one of the early X3's that didn't have MP3 capability. I was able to pick up a later model head unit recently and it was a very simply swap to get it in. But I must admit thus far I'm a bit disappointed in the level of support in the unit! Doesn't seem to have much for moving around the CD...no folder support and no ID tags etc. Rather archaic!! Am I missing something??

I've never been able to figure out how to make mine tell me who I am listening to. It is quite possible that it just doesn't do that. You may need to go aftermarket for that info.

Yea, not a very competitive offering from our friends in Munich! My wife has a C-Class and it has a way more spohisticated unit!! Displays all the tags and will walk the directory structure etc.

Ah well I may have to simply make smaller MP3 cd's that are more manageable...having 100's of songs to poke through ain't working for me!

If you hit the M then the browse button you will skipt from album to album on the MP3 CD if it was made right. It works great for some of mine, but once and a while Itunes messes up and you have to go through it song by song
