Worked fine past four years, now scalding hot even on lowest setting. Dealer never heard of it? Anyone?
edit...Just checked the roadfly X3 discussion board, and others have had this. Supposedly a short circuit in a wire or two and entire seat bottom needs replacing. Glad I got the extended service and warranty to 100k miles.

The seat heater recall isn't for the X3.
It still seems odd that they didn't just say, hey we probably need to check/replace the seat heater. It's not like BMW seat heater problems are unheard of.

Roadfly had a thread; supposedly shorted wire(s) in seat heater, new seat required.

Right you are but the recall is only for 5 and 7 series in 2004?
