All I see at the dealerships are silver, burgandy, black...

Where is the red, yellow and blues?

They are going to roll out a few new colors with the new model year. There is a Maldives Blue which is a little darker than the old Atlanta Blue, and the Merlot Red, is like a Burgundy.

According to BMW's website www.bmwusa.com , you can now get the Bright Red, too...

Yes that Bright Red is currently avaliable... i saw a SMG one the other day. I have also seen one that is a dark army looking green called 'Urban Green' It's quite ugly looking to me, but I"m sure some army general out there might like it.

Maldives and Merlot are also currently avaliable...

That urban green is horrible, should be on a H2 instead of a Z4

The green is awful, I saw one in Europe. :puke: I think the Z4 looks best in gray scale colors like Steel Grey, Jet Black, Titanium Silver, etc. They correctly emphasize the industrial design and let the contours show well.

I wish my dealer had a bright red when I got the Z, but salesperson said that I couldn't even order it(not that I wanted to wait...)...

Heya's,
I'm a new member to the forum and just got my new Z4 3.0 last Tuesday. When I was in buying mode I looked over the colors and found most of them disappointing. The merlot looked odd, the urban green is simply ugly, the blue is just old and uninspiring.

I went for the Titanium Silver with the black interior. I think it looks the best but my brother-in-law will think I turned into an Oakland Raiders fan.

LOL!

What an ugly car, regardless of color!!!

Heh, you are biased. Don't get me wrong, I think the Z3 is an awesome looking machine but I think the Z4 has just that little bit of distinctive body styling that makes it stand out from every other car on the road. You may call it ugly but, beauty is in the eye of the "beer"holder. When a babe in a Mercedes SL500 stares you like one did Sunday, you know you're in a hot roadster. Add the extra performance... I'll keep my Z4 and wave hi to you on the road.

I like the Z4 and the Z3, and see no need to compare them, they are different cars... different times, etc...

I'll have some pics of my baby up soon. I'm going to a car meet this evening so gonna have it washed/detailed etc. before I go. Will take some pics while there. The brake dusk on the wheels is brutal.

If anyone is on Long Island, there is regular Tuesday evening meet at the ampitheater by Bald Hill. Weather permitting. I'll be there this evening with a friend and his gold '69 GTO Judge.

Come on down!

I don't like the Z3 better 'cause I have one, I have one 'cause I like it better. When the Z4 came out, it never crossed my mind to change one for the other.

IIRC, there was a story on this board a few months ago about a guy in Germany who had both, put the Z3 for sale, and after test driving both back-to-back just for fun with a potential buyer, he decided to keep the Z3, and I think he's selling the Z4...

As an owner of both a Z3 & a Z4 I'll give my opinion here.
I love both cars, but the Z4 is definitly the superior of the two. The interior just seems more refined than in the Z3. The handling on the Z4 is definitly superior with the factory strut bars. The only area that my Z3 beats the 4 is in acceleration- which is to be expected as my 4 is only a 2.5 while the 3 is a 2.8.

Both cars look great in my opinion, and I have gotten many complients on both of them in the short time that I have owned them.

I frankly do not see why so many people dislike the Z4- yeah it's different than the Z3, as it should be, it's a different car why should it exactly mirror the Z3?

I love that deep red on the Z4. Seen a few of em, and love it!

Z4s are indeed hot. :) But I'll still keep the Coupe, thanks. It's even hotter. :D

I can confirm that from watching an awesome looking Z4 beat many s2000's this weekend in Topeka. Z4's look like they handle great!
