I know the guys at the M5 forums did a GB on the lidatek laser diffuser last year for around $350.... I would be interested in purchasing this unit. Not a bad price fo $350-375 if we could do it.

View Full Version : does anyone want to initiate a GB on the lidatek laser diffuser? That's what the Hawaii distributor told me. m3j0n 07-15-2003, 04:13 PM let me know if this is confirmed. -Jon NicolasW 07-17-2003, 12:43 PM MSRP is $349.99 as per the http://www.lidatek.com website. Wouldn't you want it cheaper than that?? Just FYI, there is a good review at http://www.audiworld.com/news/03/lidatek/ (edit - added link) Andrew_KC 07-17-2003, 10:46 PM i've seen this on bmwm5 as well any testimonials here on the effectiveness? experiences, anybody? or are they like those stickers you stick on your cell phones to increase reception? :D and aren't these highly illegal, James? I don't think KS uses laser too much, I've been 'instant-on-k-banded' a few times here though. but despite all that I am still interested topspin 08-02-2003, 08:24 AM Originally posted by Andrew_KC i've seen this on bmwm5 as well any testimonials here on the effectiveness? experiences, anybody? or are they like those stickers you stick on your cell phones to increase reception? :D and aren't these highly illegal, James? "The LE-20 is legal in every state except California, Utah, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Virginia, Nebraska, and Washington, D.C." As for the effectivness, there are some very convincing reviews. http://www.audiworld.com/news/03/lidatek/ http://www.radartest.com/3LASJM.html I would be interested in a group buy, depending on the price. m3j0n 08-04-2003, 06:32 PM any info about a new version in development? LEt us know. I would be in if you could get the new version. -Jon R.Stunna 11-03-2003, 12:44 PM Have any of the vendors thought of doing this? Rasta Mon 11-03-2003, 12:53 PM Aren't these things easily stolen/broken? I'd love to get one, but screwing a $350 device to the front bumper seems a bit unwise . . . to say the least. Rasta Mon 11-03-2003, 01:03 PM Nevermind, just went to the site - its not a license plate frame system. I'm down! R.Stunna 11-03-2003, 01:09 PM Matt, Micah....... GB... Yes? Ali 11-03-2003, 06:18 PM does this thing actually work? R.Stunna 11-03-2003, 06:47 PM Originally posted by Ali does this thing actually work? The links in the posts above provide some good info and tests on the Lidatek system. And, they give it some good reviews. So, I guess it does work. h22a1 11-03-2003, 07:52 PM If anyone's interested i have a brand new Lidatek le-20 still sitting in the box. I bought the one with two transponders. I was going to use one for the front and one for the rear. I dont really drive the car much so i never had the chance to install it. I paid $450 for it. Just looking to recover as much as i can. Email me if you need pics of it. I will take some tonight Thanks  R.Stunna 11-04-2003, 07:35 PM Originally posted by h22a1 If anyone's interested i have a brand new Lidatek le-20 still sitting in the box.
