CivetaDei 12-20-2008, 09:26 PM thats a fairly common scam used over craigslist.
They always word it differently but it ends up being they send you checks with more than they're supposed to pay.
Definitely stay away from that
dophineh 12-20-2008, 10:26 PM scam...
but play along. just dont ship your wheels or let anyone take them. give him a temporary phone number and alternative address.
greenleaf 12-20-2008, 10:27 PM as legit as the white candy van
E30SPDFRK 12-20-2008, 11:50 PM The Van is red, Craig. You should know that after driving it for so many years.
Vanilla Gorilla 12-21-2008, 02:42 AM Mark, I'm 100% sure it's a scam. Money Gram's are easily forged. Anytime Money Grams become involved in anything it's usually a scam. Bring that info to your local bank, and they will tell you the same thing.

You must not read much or watch news. This scam has been out for years now. Its as bad as the lost relatives who have left you millions or the lottery you just won in another country. Don't play too far along because it does not help you to deposit bad checks in your bank account.
axthrower 12-21-2008, 09:46 AM Tell them to pay you with a USPS money order or certified bank check rather than a personal check. I bet they disappear.
ESMcBlurM3 12-21-2008, 10:55 AM looks legit to me...
dumbass

mikeqube 12-28-2008, 04:56 PM SCAM. Whenever they use the word "items", its a scam. I do a lot of selling on craigslist and ebay and have seen this a million times. String them a long for a while and tyr to get a picture of them or something. Here's one I got a couple of years ago from a scammer trying to get a macbook off of me;
