i have this problem today you can start it put your foot on the brake then select reverse drive or any gear it wll not move this is 2002 x5 with full-time all-wheel drive any help thank you.

Common problem with the X5. Sometimes it requires a new trans for $6K. I replaced my trans harness for a MEASLEY $950 and it fixed things up. Try this:

the transmission reverse and drive gears are all working good again.

i did not do any thing and the transmission begain to work again

with out any code ? what you think went wrong.

How do you know you dont have any code? Mine did not show up on the CEL or trans ligt did not turn on. The dealer scanned , they showed it tripped the trans temp sensor 74 times intermittantly, so sometimes it worked and somtimes no.

just because no light has come on does not mean you do not have any faults. have it scanned.
