Andy, if you're interested, come see me at the autocross. I have a Bieffe helmet, XL, that I only used for one season of autocross before I got my AGC. It's Snell M95, black with a latch strap (not D-rings). I'm willing to sell it to you cheeeeeeep. I always bring my extra helmets so you can borrow it regardless if you want.

Re: Helmet. Just come see me at the autocross, I'm running in the third heat but I should be around changing tires no later than 12:30 or 1 at the latest. I have the only yellow M3 that is at the autocrosses.

I'm actually crashing at a friend's place in Reston™ tonight so I won't be able to caravan with you guys :( Next time.

I met you last year at a DTMPower meet in Rockville. You had the Imola Red M3 at the time (and got lost with George's directions, even with the GPS). LOL. I thought you got a 911 or something.

It was cool meeting everyone today and seeing everyone again. I'll post some pics of today's autocross shortly!

I'm a retard. I ran the entire day yesterday with 29psi up front and 33psi in the rear. I guess that explains the understeer. I'm a moron.

Yes, I had the Imola Red M3, then got rid of that and got a 03 Carrera 4S, then got rid of that a couple months back and got the silver 03 M3. The 911 was sweet but it was a little too expensive for me. :)

Ok... in my defense... the NAV system relies on an address... no one gave me a valid address... and it was John who kept giving me wrong directions until finally George got me on track. :D

John, that's hilarious! Well from the passenger seat, it sure seemed to have about 100% more bite on the front end that mine did... those Kumhos or yours are killer. I'll have to mess with pressures more. I think I need to run maybe 44 up front and maybe 35 in the rear. Then maybe I won't have to "drive it like it's a camaro" to quote you, LOL. The only way I could get the car to rotate was drive it like I was mad at it, haha.

Can't wait til the next event.

Well my car felt a lot better yesterday thanks to Glenn's sugestion to lower the tire pressures on my R1s... which he also said suck. :( So I'll get Khumo's next year :wave:

I had a great time... sans the hour and 45 minute trip :complain and am learning so much... and maybe in my second season I'll catch some of you guys:alright

It was cool working with Han. We talked. I think Han was trying to encourange me to defect from team_BAR to join Salazar. Sorry Han, team_BAR is a force that Salazar Racing is just going to have to deal with. :D :biglaughb Just kidding

Seriously though, I had fun. I KNOW I need to work on my smoothness and car control. I need to learn how my braking system works too because I was letting off the gas too early and braking too early. My last run felt a lot better since I had a better idea how my car handles. I have NEVER driven ANY car like that before so it was definitely a new experience. I hope I can get better. I think my best run was my last run. I THINK it was 55secs. I guess I will have to wait and see when the results are posted.

The drive back home was a blast too. Jed, Pete (Teuton), and I had some fun on the highway. We were safe but I got to see how my car compares to a 98 323is and a 94 325is. All I have to say is I am VERY please with the results. :D

Can't wait until the next one.

i had a blast on the course.

I was not expecting the course to be that much fun/technical considering how slow and tight it was. Kevin did an AWESOME job setting it up.

anyone know if the Vette still held FTD? Kevin was saying it was a "power" course, i think just cause he was bitter that a vette was spanking everyone. I personally think the vette driver did a real nice job during his runs. If anyone FTD'd i'd have to say it ws either Glenn or J Sheridan.

I believe the guy with the M3 on R-Compound tires in the 3rd heat, first group had FTD.

My Cooper was struggling with wheelspin, as you all probobly heard over, and over, and over again. :D

Yes, at last count it was Glenn in SSM (46.5xx) with FTD, followed by the 'Vette in X, followed by J. Sheridan in S1M (both running in the 47s), followed by me in SSM (had to report that one right? :) )

Fun day, didn't even get burned, but I did have a little bit of a "sun hangover" yesterday.

Was yours the black Cooper S with the black BBS wheels? If so, VERY nice car! What suspension are you running?

The Minis are of great interest to me, as a friend and I are toying with the idea of building a dedicated autocross car...the Cooper is on our short list.

Thanks, that was me. I still haven't touched the suspension yet, although I've got some springs sitting at the shop for it.

Will the results be posted on the NCC website, or are they somewhere else?
