My plan has changed for proposing to my girlfriend and I've decided to do it where her parents live for celebration purposes (my parents will be in Atlantic City that weekend as well, so it'll be perfect timing).

I am looking for the most upscale/romantic/I-don't-care-about-the-cost restaurant up there. The atmosphere/setting is key here; it has to be quiet, dimmed, and as romantic as possible. I am planning to propose to her earlier that day and want this to be the personal celebration between us two. I am planning on proposing either this weekend or next weekend.


My girlfriend's parents have their house in Ocean City, but I'm open to suggestions areas like Margate, Atlantic City, Cape May etc.

melting pot would be perfect! you can request these personal rooms they have off to the side, table for two, secluded, dark. sounds perfect for what you want. Food is amazing and it takes quite a while to get through it all.

However, after much thought and research along with talking to many folks, I made reservations at Moonfish Grille in Cape May, NJ. I heard the food is fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect, especially if you get a room all to yourself ... very romantic.
