Hey, take it easy on the little Aussie Battler...

Hehehe, just jokes Kenshiro... although, that would be more accurate, caus that would translate into about $3300 ish USD... which I would hope you can get all of the above for , or at least close to that??

Meanwhile... Aust currency is rooted, hence making it difficult to purchase from any US Retailers (Crutchfield or Onlinecarstereo)?? Does anyone know any good international / europe based / asia based retailers??

Cheers

There're lots of shops in Japan, but they tend to charge an arm and a leg... even though the Yen is weak against most currencies these days, especially the USD...

And of course, you have to be able to read Japanese...

Hehehe...okay thanx anyways...

I will try my best and shop around... the key problem is the shipping costs... because the List Price converted into AUD is still cheaper than anything available here... however, as soon as you factor in the shipping costs into Aust, the prices are severely inflated!!

Mmm... Do you know any Asia Pacific retailers online sites, hehehe, my mate can read japanese, and I am just generally interested!??!

Also, what are your opinions on the JL Stealthbox for the E36... (say in 50 words or less) hehehe.... any comments??

Cheers Kenshiro!

I've only heard the stealthboxes once, and it wasn't the best install, but they still sounded impressive, especially for the price! More so, I'm sure, if you pick a high-end 8" sub with a longer excursion... Mmm...

Oh, alternatively, you might want to audition an aperiodic membrane setup... I've never heard one, but from what I understand, they're amazing free-air setups... basically sealing a mini enclosure between the cone surface and the membrane...

A friend of mine just had the stealth boxes installed in his 97 318i. For the money that they cost, they were'nt all that impressive. And anyone that had the time could build the same style of enclosure with some fiberglass resin. The main drawback is the fact that you lose your rear speaks. The only way that you could get any rear fill, would be to cut some new holes in your rear deck. any way that you cut it, a custom box will always sound better. I put two JL 10's in a bandpass box with two ports firing directly up at the rear dash. My Total cost for materials to build the box (including the plexiglass front) was under $50.
