View Full Version : FS: SS straight tip catback for e36 M3, 328is etc.
///M3weee... 11-21-2008, 03:00 PM Hey guys. I have a Supersprint straight tip exhaust for sale the first week of December....that's when it'll come off because turbo's going on. It's off a 1997 M3 but should fit other such as 328is etc etc.
Do you really need a picture....It's an exhaust. Anyway, it's in great shape but of course it's not all shiny like new because it sits under the car but who really gives a @#$& right? Exhaust is for power and sound and it sounds great. It doesn't drone, and it's a nice medium to low mellow tone.
$400 Firm
If you REALLY need a pic then I can provide it but it's on the car and I can't provide a full under shot, but I'll do the best I can.

///M3weee... 11-21-2008, 08:39 PM Who's doing your turbo back exhaust and how much?
Well, I was going to take it to this place called Camino Muffler in Santa Clara. They said around $700 for Magna flow high flow cat, resonator and race muffler. That's full 3" from after down pipe. I think it's a little bit pricey but it's the closest muffler shop that does this kind of work from where the turbo is being installed.
Why whats up?
Schultz28 11-21-2008, 09:26 PM well i got 2 other options for you... you can either go through brracing... brrperformance.com located in los gatos
or you can go straight through my friend luke (brracings fabricator) blu808.com
i think they should be able to get you a pretty good price!

Right on.
Sounds good to me. Whats the difference if I go to Brrperformance or through your friend? Same place right? Or since he's a fabricator, can he do a side job elsewhere?
Thanks for the heads up man.
dynamik 11-22-2008, 03:57 AM i might be interested, just wanna hear a sound clip first ( searching youtube right now )

yea he has his own shop actually...
but i said that because you or most likely gonna want to talk to luke first because he is gonna be the one doing it and tell him what youre trying to do and tell him how much you are trying to pay and then find out everything youre gonna need.
then call up brracing and tell them what you need to order. and that you previously talked to luke and youre gonna want to come in and get your cars exhaust fabbed up.
and also if brracing is too busy you might be able to get luke to do it personally if he has time.

I, too, am turbo'd :) Good stuff, but i still have my stock cat in there and UUC exhaust. Just wondering who was doing it for you, how much etc. Good luck and definately post up pics/ sounds clips!

You might have already seen this clip but it's pretty accurate. The exhaust gets even louder when the pipes are hot.

Thanks for this info man, I'll give him a call and let him know you referred me to him.

Dooooode, you got to get an custom 3" all the way back!!! There's a guy under slcoock 54 and he passed Cali smog with one Magnaflow high flow cat! I think it was like 1/3 the acceptable pollutants too. That's how clean Nick tune is. Pretty amazing.
stanksbeamen 11-24-2008, 09:31 PM Yes its in the works but it all depends on time and money. The youtube vid doesnt work for me...How much boost are you running, i plan on going to stage 2 next year. Hopefully that will be all for me :devillook who knows!

You can only run 13 psi on 91 octane but nonetheless should make some good power. I believe people are making around 415 RWH on 91 @ 13PSI.
If you want a little more power and better spool, you can do the GT35R upgrade.
How fast is the stage 1?

Yup 4XX rwhp will definately be enough for me. lol. I think im going to go with some low comp pistons and stick with stock HG for minimal HG problems. GT35R is a bling factor, the 60-1 will do just fine :D unless i feel different at the time im doing it all lol.
What do you mean, how fast is stage 1? Depends on how well you drive i guess. I went to the track, first time out ever. I ran 13.3 at 106 spining thru 1st and 2nd. 2.0 60ft time. Not good but not bad either, thats running off the WG spring also at 6lbs of boost.

Ic why you're confused. I don't have the kit installed yet. It's going on as soon as my headgasket is in (stock HG). I overheated a while back and was able to drive unless it got hot out and that's rare in SF so I got away with it for a long time. Now that the turbo is going on, I needed to replace the headgasket. The kit is going on as soon as the gasket is in. I'll be running 13 PSI with the stage 2 tune and will be running on 91 octane.
Nick also tuned my ECU for an M50 mani which will also go on. I don't think I'll ever install water/meth but the reason I got the gt35r was so I can later get the FP HTA compressor cover/impeller. Oleg Coupe got an extra 8% TQ and 7% HP all across the board on multiple runs and with different boost settings not to mention about 400 rpm quicker spool and much better throttle response. This was by just swapping the cover and impeller with no new tune! He doesn't have a TT kit but his increase is still promissing.
