OK, here are the Schrick cams prices we can get depending on how many get into this GB:

3 sets = each $855.00 without shipping

5 sets = each $845.00 without shipping

10 sets = each $835.00 without shipping

Shipping is $35/set to USA addresses (slightly less if multiple sets shipped to same address).

what do cams do

You need to have some long talks with your uncle.

Camshafts in an internal combustion engine control the valves. they determine how far (lift) and how long (duration) they open. This is how engines get the intake fuel/air charge needed for combustion and how they exhaust the burned mixture. As always the manufacturer makes decisions that are compromises. The Schrick cams for our cars lean more toward performance than the stock E36 camshafts.

what software would you run with these cams? Turner will not sell there cam software w/o buying cams from them, right?

I hear this isn't a DIY job since special tools are required. Any idea of how much $labor$ this is gonna cost?

Also, does anything else need to be modded at the same time to match this type of cam upgrade?

I'm no expert on DME's, but I was told by another board member that OBDII cars didn't need any software to take advantage of the cams. Seems to me that you 'd at least want to raise the rev limit up to 7000rpm because the Schrick cams make most of their hp gains over stock cams above 4500rpm.

Their are several board members here that are running Schrick cams, maybe they could let us know what they did.

If I remember correctly OBDII cars need the M50 intake manifold to really see big hp gains but with that you can get more than 40hp

I will send you the money tonight if you can get me a price on cams for a NON-VANOS motor. These cams are for the 2.5L non-vanos motor in 92' 325's. The cams are 256/256 and are 10.4mm of lift. Please let me know the price.

Wes

PS: Any good shop will run 400-500 to install depending on the motor. Anyone can custom burn you a chip, AA, Turner, JC...you name it. If you have an E36 M3, you will need to run bigger injectors, preferbly 24#/hr injectors. They run about $200, and software will be $300 from AA. This is ALOT of money, but a good deal none the less. I was/am about to pay 1100 for the cams I need.

Hey Im down to join in this GB for the Schrick Cams. I need some new cams because one of them is damaged and since my engine is already open I might as well upgrade the cams. Now will the cams work 100% with the stock oem software and a PAR Intake? Also how many do we have in the GB with me joining and when do we get are stuff, thanks.

If he can get me the cams I need, I am down...so that makes atleast 2. You will need software as the timing needs to be adjusted. AA will supply software if you need it.

When you get injectors do you have to change the manifold too? Also $300 for a AA Chip, would you have to take your car in to them (kinda hard for me since I live in Los Angeles)?

No, you just pop in the new 6 injectors. You call AA, tell them your mods(Cams, intake, injectors, etc...) and that you need a chip and they will have one to you in about a week or so depending on shipping. Better yet, go through one of their vendors, and get it a little cheaper.

if 3 people buy these, is it $855 for just one cam or for both.

PourkyM3

Now would I need to put new injectors and get a chip, or will the car still run good better than a stock 3.2 M3?

If you have a 3.2L M3, you don't NEED software or injectors, but software will help you achieve the max potential out of the cams.

KHY Motorsports sells them for $900 on special, no GB. See the link. For a couple extra $$ you may save some shipping time as he is local to the Philadelphia area.

For the people wondering about the chips to go with cams, I thought I should tell you that I called AA today and they said it would be $799 for a custom chip alone.
I think I am just going to stick with the turner kit.

I am out of this. Those that want to pursue the GB should do so directly with the German seller:
